What is the Virtual Associate?

Ask the Virtual Associate to answer questions about the uploaded documents or to draft new documents based on the uploaded and analyzed content.  For example, if you include uploading discovery material to a Matter, then once the initial AI Analysis phase has completed, you can ask specific fact-finding questions and expand on the responses provided by the AI.

Ask the Virtual Associate specific questions…

  • What are the main issues in the case…
  • Did Witness A ever discuss his relation to the company…
  • Who attended the Summer board meeting…

Task the Virtual Associate to…

  • Draft a Memo to File…
  • Create a Sample Motion…
  • Write a Letter…

Whether for trial preparation or to consummate a legal transaction, the Virtual Associate can be indispensable, rapidly assisting in the drafting of motions and legal briefs and in crafting draft versions of important legal documents for M&A transactions.

In litigation for example, you can ask the Virtual Associate, “Was Mr. Smith attending the board meeting ever discussed among the executive team?” having uploaded and analyzed relevant emails related to a commercial dispute. The Virtual Associate excels at specific tasks related to litigation.  Ask it to compile lists related to issues on a case or a Memo to File regarding options for a client to take with respect to settlement.

For M&A, the Virtual Associate is good at reviewing several versions of a document and to summarize the gaps between them as well as offering additional questions across various areas to assist in successfully completing due diligence on deals.

The best way to leverage the power of the Virtual Associate is to converse with it and iterate on the conversation. As it learns, it will continue to offer better responses.

PRO TIP: If the Virtual Associate gets something wrong: Tell it! For example, you may respond to it by typing:

“That response is incorrect. Give me more detail about X and not Y.”
